8° BIODIVERSITY CONTEST 2012/13
"The Biodiversity of our territory is a value to be saved"
The Farm Altaura and Monte Ceva would like to announce a competition, aimed at nursery, first, middle, and high school levels. This competition is intended to promote the knowledge of local territory by identifying an animal, a plant, or a tradition of which little may be known or which may be in danger of extinction.
RULES
1. The competition is open to all students in nursery, first, middle and high school levels of the Italian territory.
2. Students will participate in the contest by proposing works that approach the knowledge of their territory by identifying an animal, a plant, or a tradition of which little may be known or which may be in danger of extinction. Iconographic documents and sources are provided, along with a proposal for the promulgation and valorisation (at local levels) of the object of the research.
3. All techniques may be used, at the teacher's discretion.
4. The works, individual or in group, with their respective titles and names of authors, must be received by March 15th, 2013 at the following address: Azienda Agricola Altaura e Monte Ceva, Via Correr 1291, 35040 Casale di Scodosia , Padova, Italy.
5. It is the responsibility of each school to choose the best works. Only one work per class will be accepted.
6. The works presented will be examined by a special jury, consisting of two representatives of the farm and an expert of the field.
7. The three most original works that have the characteristics required in step N° 2 will receive an award. (Winners will be selected from three age categories - First Category: Nursery school, and the first two years of First School; Second Category: Rest of First School Grades; and Third Category: High School) .
8. The materials received will not be returned.
9. The winners will be notified by special notice.
10. A certificate of recognition will be given to all participants.
11. The winner's prize will be a free guided tour of both Altaura and Monte Ceva Farms (for a group of up to 30 people).
